We are two performing artists Maike Lond and Kaja Kann. At the moment You are looking at our online portfolio that we created for You. Especially so, if You are somebody who is looking alternative ways to spend the money You have oh so much. Thing is that the public funders managing the survival of arts and culture have decided that from now on the private sector should take care of the health of arts and culture. What does that mean? Well, we dont really know but we are very keen to find it out.
When we first heard about it we thought we will fix the problem. So we called and e-mailed to some of You - entrepreneurs, investors, inheritors, successors and so called lucky bastards to ask what You think about supporting arts. Would You be willing to sponsor the kind of arts that You don't understand? To become a mécénat without knowing what the hell your new ward is talking about?
To be honest, not so many of You answered. Im not surprised, You are all so busy. Or afraid that we might want to take Your money. We dont. We want to talk and find solutions - basically solve the problem that is too difficult for governments, cultural institutions, vague NGOs, administrative workers of European union - too difficult for bureaucratic monsters.
